There are a number of lists - a once a week update list, a medium volume general working list, and a daily events list. Alerts - such as notice of a hearing - will be sent to all lists; there is no specific alert list.

The updates and events are one way. The general working list is two ways. For the working list, we ask you use plain text email, not HTML mail. If your email client cannot generate clean email, you will be dropped without notice, sorry. Try to keep your posts short. Do include relevant context. When you quote someone, quote the right someone.

The events, peoplefirst-events
Enter your address in the events box on the left hand side of any page on this site and we will subscribe you to our events list. You will get every day a short schedule of upcoming events. This is a one way list. You may unsubscribe at any time; the instructions will be in every email. Or you may email peoplefirst-events-unsubscribe@lists.maine.com to unsubscribe.

The working list, peoplefirst-discuss
The working list is open only to those actively participating in People First Maine! workgroups. It is a two way list with a moderate volume. The working list is a members-only list. Subscriptions must be approved by list owners. The list itself, however, will not be moderated, so please respect other's time and stay on topic.

To subscribe, email peoplefirst-discuss-subscribe@lists.maine.com. The subject and body of the message do not matter. You will get a confirmation request, reply to that and you will be subscribed. To send messages to the list, you must subscribe. Send messages to to peoplefirst-discuss@lists.maine.com

There is a boiled down, once-a-week or so updates list reporting on our work. Email admin@peoplefirstmaine.com if you want us to put you on that list instead of the working list. This is a one way list. You may unsubscribe at any time; the instructions will be in every email. Or you may email peoplefirst-updates-unsubscribe@lists.maine.com to unsubscribe.

We will not share email addresses with anyone. Period. We will send out announcements for allies where the issue falls within the scope of the list. You must sign up for this list; we are not importing addresses.
